MacKenzie is 13 years old and has been dancing for 9 years. She takes 6 classes a week including jazz & lyrical, pointe, ballet, and modern. MacKenzie is also a member of our Young Company and assists two classes per week in our children’s program.
Q: Why Did You Start Dancing?
A: My mom really wanted me to play hockey but I didn’t really enjoy it, so she thought she would put me in dance as she took dance when she was a kid.
Q: What is Your Favourite Part About Dancing at NLDC?
A: Learning the pieces for Winterlude and June Recital. I also enjoy assisting; it is fun being with the younger dancers. I’m also really excited to be part of YoCo this year.
Q: What Are Your Future Goals With Dance?
A: To complete all of the Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams.
Q: What Has Dancing At North London Dance Centre Taught You?
A: It has taught me to believe in myself and to never give up!
