A highly regarded and respected artist and teacher, Dale brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our school. She trained at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in the Professional Division before being accepted into The Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company. As a company dancer, she toured North America regularly with special tours to England, Ireland, Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Mexico. Dale danced as a soloist in many ballets, notably Rodeo, in which Agnes de Milles personally selected her for one of the roles. While performing with the RWB she danced in a number of television productions.
Dale’s involvement at Western University continues as a lecturer in the Don Wright Faculty of Music’s Dance Minor program, an instructor in the Adult Ballet Program, a role she has had since 1987, and co-director of Western University’s “Studies in Motion” presenting annual productions of student compositions.
Dale is a Life Member and Registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance. She is a well-known guest teacher throughout Ontario and has contributed to London South Collegiate Institute’s bi-annual performance productions by serving on the audition panel as well as choreographing since its beginning in 2003. During the 2015 and 2016 seasons, she was a board member for the FLUX London Dance Festival.
Dale was honoured to be named to the 2017 Mayor’s list for her contribution to the Arts.
